감각과 감각의 사이에는 위로가 있습니다. 그것은 ‘포착’되거나 ‘이해’될 수는 없어요.
‘너는 왜 그렇니?’ ‘나는 이렇기 때문에 그래.’ 거짓말은 아닌데, 그렇다고 참말도 아니죠.
포착하지 않는 언어를 찾아봅시다. 그것이 왜 그런지를 이해하는 것은 사실 그렇게까지 중요한 것은 아니죠.
우리가 그런 것들에 한 눈을 파는 사이에, 위로의 언어는 흐르는 물처럼 손톱사이로 사라져버린답니다.
감각과 감각의 사이에는 어루만짐이 있습니다. 어루만지는 것은 먼저 손을 뻗는 것을 말해요.
눈에보이고, 귀에 들리는데도 손을 뻗어서 만지는 것은 그것들로는 부족한 어떤 간절함이있기 때문이겠죠?
대화는 질문이아니고, 탐색도아닙니다. 어쩌면, 그저 덤덤한 주고 받기의 연속일 뿐인 경우도 있을겁니다.
하지만, 대화는 천천히 그리고, 틀림없이 어루만지는 사유를 향해, 방향지워져있답니다.
<배꼽보다검고, 쇠보다긴고요>는 감각과 감각의 사이에 있는 숲 속의 코끼리입니다.
코끼리를 만질때는, 두가지를 기억해주세요. ‘늘어진 이슬과 손톱 위의 공’입니다.
먼저, 눈을 감고, 늘어진 이슬을 마음속으로 떠올리고, 그것을 천천히 들이마십니다.
이제, 눈을뜨고, 당신의 손톱 위에 공을 그리고, 그것으로 부드럽게 만지는 거에요.
반짝-, 반짝-.
There is a comfort between the feeling and sense. It can’t be ‘captured’ or ‘understood’.
What’s wrong with you? ‘I am like this.’ ‘It’s not a lie, but it’s not a truth either.’
Let’s find a language that wasnt’ captured. As a matter of fact, it is not that important
to understand why it is. When we dig into those things, the language of comfort vanishes
between fingers like flowing water.
There is a touch between the senses. To touch means to reach out first. Although you can see
or hear it, the instinct to reach out your hand to touch something is due to a sense of eagerness
which is insufficient. Conversation is neither just a rough series of give and take.
However, conversation is oriented slowly and undoubtedly toward reasoning,
which is tangible or can be touched.
When you touch an elephant, remember two things. They are ‘the drooping dew and a ball on the fingernail’.
First, close your eyes, think of the drooping dew in your mind, and inhale it slowly. Now, open your eyes,
draw a ball on your fingernail, and touch it gently. Twinkle, twinkle.
